Brian Falconer has been homeschooled since kindergarten. He has been learning koto from his mom since he was five. Past performances include Benaroya Hall, Mills College and Northwest Folklife. He has taken lessons with Kazue Sawai, his mother's teacher in Tokyo. In 2004 he and his mother released the CD "Chocolate Suite - Japanese music for Chocolate Lovers" which received an iParenting Media "Hottest Products of 2004" Award
