絶体絶命都市 (Zettai Zetsumei Toshi) Disaster Report について・・・
This is perhaps the best game released for the PS2 as not only is it fun but also it's educational and should a earthquake ever hit your area based on what you've learned in this game could save your life and make it easier for you and your family to be rescued. It teaches valuable skills and how to forage the environment for things and how to assemble new things from what you find on your journey. Released in 2002 and re released in the U.S. and Europe in 2003 it was a little known hit and is today quite rare to find outside of ebay.
Released in Japan as
絶体絶命都市 (Zettai Zetsumei Toshi) and in U.S. as (Disaster Report) and Europe as (S.O.S. Final Escape).
For it's U.S. and EU release it under went minor changes such as the characters being westernized by giving some of them blond hair and U.S.-European names. The original names are:
Sudou Makoto=News Reporter,Male, age 25
Aizawa Mari= A 20 year old damsel in distress that Sudo meets on a bus and rescues her.
Akira Ziai=A photographer, Male, age 30 who you meet later in the game and he knows more as to the cause of the earthquake than he'll tell you.
Ratio Summer= A 17 year old,Female, student of Capital City high school, In the confusion of the earthquake her brother is lost and she is searching for him.
