MHP3 Demo :: Ice Barroth について・・・
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd Demo
The most interesting thing about this demo, is the monster in this quest. The Barroth from Tri now has a subspecies that lives in the Tundra. Looks like the return of the alternate colored monsters, I can't wait to see else they come up with.
I went with the lance this time around, the Toxic Javelin I think, as opposed to the long sword just to switch things up. I thought this would easy with the lance tbh but it looks like some changes were made. The most noticeable is the fact that you cant counterattack whenever you want anymore. In Tri, you were able to use this move inbetween or after your standard three thrusts. The big change is that now you can only use it after the 1st or 2nd thrust but not after the 3rd. Lance just got a little more technical, its going to take a lot more skill to know when to continue and when to counterattack. The lance charge seems to go through the monster now, so you cant really abuse it as much.
As for the Ice Barroth, I'm impressed. The AI for it is really good, if you're in a bad situation it will take advantage of you and kill you if it can. I can show this in the next video I'm going to upload were I played with Mad Dog from my earlier videos. The hip check is fast and it kinda throws it out there randomly, while the fast charge is somewhat homing and works in a U-shape motion for the extended version. I personally dont think a block weapon is necessary but you definitely have to watch what you do.
