Link's Awakening DX - Grass Maze Optimised (TAS) について・・・
Thanks to mokesmoe for bringing this awesome trick to my attention.
This saves about 13 seconds over the method seen in my previous video. It will require me to redo until the first Save & Quit in Key Cavern (after we get the Pegasus Boots), but it's totally worth it. Not only is this much faster, but it looks so awesome that I felt that I should share it with everyone, since it wouldn't otherwise be on YouTube until the run was complete.
The trick works by coming down a screen and walking partially into a plant which is right at the top of the next screen. Since there's nowhere for Link to go when this occurs, it forces him to the very top of the screen and he acts like he's just fell off a ledge.
I've tried doing it going left, right, and up, and none of them work. They just give a small boost, which makes sense, as in those cases, there's still a place for Link to go, whereas in the one seen in this video, it actually forces him offscreen.
